Ancylite-(Ce)

Mineral # 133 Available
Ancylite-(Ce), a large druse of prismatic orthorhombic crystals collected in 1973 from Mont St. Hilaire, Quebec, Canada; these crystals appear pinkish in incandescent light and in daylight (both pictures), while under fluorescent light, they appear as a gray-green color (which for some reason my camera won't reproduce and we don't color-adjust our images). An aesthetic, rare, superb example for the Mont St. Hilaire collector. Accessory natrolite, tetranatrolite, aegerine and an unknown fluorescent coating. Traded from Dr. Bob Gait, The Royal Ontario Museum Collection in 1976.
This specimen measures about 7.2 cm x 3.7 cm x 6.7 cm.
Ancylite-(Ce) # 133 – Price: $US 450.
