Ferrierite from Kamloops Lake, near Monte Lake, British Columbia, Canada. These eye-catching fox-red colored asbestosform veins are associated with basalt, chalcedony and massive quartz. Unidentified amygdules.

Fluorapatite as grayish-clear crystals to 1.5 cm x 1.3 cm, from the type locality, Ehrenfriedersdorf, Saxony, Germany. Accessories include dolomite crystals, and black unidentified coating. Probably collected about 1800. Specimen has two old labels attached on the bottom: one painted white (562), the other glued-on green paper (2371). An interesting, very old specimen.

Fluorite from a small glory-hole, west-side Road cut, Highway 5 near Old Chelsea, Quebec, Canada. This is an example of perhaps the most complex fluorite crystals known, a cuboctahedron modified by pyritohedron or ?, light green with a purple "eye" in the middle. Fluoresces bright blue LW. Collected by National Museum Canada August 1974, specimen #74/40/7. From a pocket in a metamorphosed complex with accessory calcite and micro, silvery metallic cubic unknown.

This specimen measures about 1.8 cm x 1.8 cm x 1.8 cm. The single euhedral fluorite crystal measures 1.3 to 1.5 cm across.

Forsterite crystal from Møre og Romsdal, Norway, before 1978. A gemologist has told me that this would be good faceting material, but I like its anhedral orthorhombic form as a nice specimen. It weighs 21.87 grams or about 109.37 carats. This specimen also includes its label from the Oslo Mineralogy Museum and the purchase history from a Mr. Ekremseter in 1978.
