Gaspeite from the type locality, at the north-west corner, Lemieux Township, Gaspé Nord County, Gaspé, Quebec, Canada. Latitude and longitude provided with specimen. Light green, massive.
This specimen measures about 7 cm x 6 cm x 3.7 cm and weighs 255.5 grams. Some people polish Gaspeite into attractive yellowish-green to earth-tone cabochons — this is not the gaudy green of the Australian material. This gaspeite seems tight and dense, and has not been treated.
