Yellow Molybdite, interstitial to silver-metallic plates of molybdenite. From the Zenith Molybdenite Mine, Renfrew, Ontario, Canada. This interesting specimen also has accessory pyroxene, calcite and feldspar and was collected in 1967.
This specimen measures about 5 cm x 3 cm x 1.5 cm.

Monazite

Mineral # 083 ON HOLD
Monazite crystal from Setesdal, Evje, Norway. Originally found in a mica schist, collected pre-1975. This exceptionally sharp crystal has several tiny accessory thorianite inclusions, only one end is terminated, a handsome specimen to complement any collection.
This crystal measures about 2.6 cm x 1.6 cm x 0.5 cm.

Nagyagite

Mineral # 180 Available
Very rare, Nagyagite, one of the few minerals where gold is in combination with other elements; as bright metallic plates which tarnish to black, from the type locality, Nagyag, Transylvania. The current locality name is: Sacaramb (Sacarîmb), Hunedoara Co., Romania. Accessory quartz.

Nesquehonite


Mineral # 370 Available
Outstanding Nesquehonite, exceedingly rare from the Yukon phosphate deposits, one of two known specimens from this locality at the time, as divergent radiating acicular crystals to 3-mm and coating, from Rapid Creek, Yukon Territory, Canada; GR 197002. Accessories include dypingite (XRD GSC), siderite, colorless apatite (XRD GSC), quartz, aragonite micro spheres and childrenite. Pictures show top and bottom of specimen. Collected July, 1978 Paddy Collins.

Nickelhexahydrite

Mineral # 263 Available
Nickelhexahydrite occurs as a pale whitish-green surface coating, together with greenish coating of morenosite, plus jarosite and millerite, on a lump of massive mixed copper-nickel sulfides in rhyolite. These rarities are from the Copperfields Mine, Temagami, Ontario, Canada. Analysis by XRD by GSC. This specimen was collected from the mine entrance tunnel July 1972. Has three saw cuts.
This specimen measures about 8 cm x 8 cm x 7 cm.

Nordstrandite


Mineral # 365 Available
Nordstrandite, as a microcrystalline crust and a radiating spherule in altered rock. Very unusual from this locality. From the upper level, DeMix Quarry, Mont St. Hilaire, Quebec, Canada. Analysis by XRD by Ann Stenson GSC (#H5 Nov 1975). The specimen was further examined by Dr. George Y. Chao, Carleton University, Ottawa, using both x-ray and spectroscopic analysis (March, 1976). Accessory dark gray-green chlorite. The other half of this specimen is at the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto.
