Purpurite from the Dunton Mine, (Dunton 1972 Gem Quarry), Plumbago Mountain, Newry, Oxford County, Maine, collected pre-1978. This deep purple purpurite, together with the blue tiphylite, on white feldspar makes this an attractive example of these species.

Pyrite from the now closed famous Nanisivik Mine, Nanisivik, Baffin Island, Nunavut, Canada. This specimen is an example of the very sharp, amazing, unique elongated pyrite crystals from this locality, self-collected underground at the 500 foot level in 1973.

This specimen measures about 2.8 cm x 1.7 cm x 1.7 cm. The largest crystal about 1.2 cm long.
