This attractive and aesthetic specimen consists of colorless, transparent complex apophyllite crystals perched on sheaves of white pectolite, lightly dusted with a hydrocarbon giving nice visual contrast. From the long-closed classic locality, the Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebec, Canada. Collected 1976.

This specimen measures about 3.5 cm x 5 cm x 2.5 cm.

Astrophyllite as radiating coarse blades to 4 cm from Kjeø Island, Near Brevik, Langesundsfjord, Norway. Collected 1924, this specimen includes black prismatic and reddish brown accessories (perhaps barkevikite and melanocerite but have not been confirmed). Also, three old paper labels (illustrated) are included. Also, the specimen has two labels on the back, one painted and one paper.
