Exceptionally large and attractive Baryte crystal from the Tringspat, Styggedal, Tråg, Bamble, Norway; collected in 1960, this specimen is made up of a single brilliant, glassy baryte crystal, honey yellow on the outside, zoned to colorless in the middle. This complex baryte crystal from Norway is nearly perfect with some tiny contact points visible on close inspection. Shows well. University label included.

This cabinet specimen is from the type locality (in fact, the only locality), Karnasurt Mount, Lovozero Massif, Kola Peninsula, Murmansk District, Russia. Received in exchange with Dr. Barsonov, Fersman Geological Museum, Moscow, June 1976. Specimen includes the original Fersman label. Back and two edges have been saw-cut — the material is quite fragile.
