Bindheimite

Mineral # 229 Available

Bindheimite as yellow acicular, micro and encrustation, from the Lake George Antimony Mine, Lake George, New Brunswick, Canada (~40 km NE of Fredericton). Collected July 1974, all the mineralization has been confirmed using XRD by the GSC. Accessories include valentinite, kermesite and stibiconite; on graywacke.

This specimen measures about 2.2 cm x 1.6 cm x 1 cm.

Biotite

Mineral # 008 Available

Biotite crystals from the De Mix Quarry, Mont St. Hilaire, Quebec, Canada, this sharp biotite specimen shows the full monoclinic habit. Collected in 1972, this was identified by Dr, George Chao, Carleton University, Ottawa. Accessories include aegerine, chalcopyrite, albite; on natrolite, plus some intriguing mauve UK areas.

This specimen measures about 9 cm x 5 cm x 4 cm. The best crystal is 0.6 cm across and 1.5 cm long.
