Calcite Paragenesis 2

Mineral # 093 Available
Calcite from the Nanisivik Mine, Nanisivik, Baffin Island, Nunavut, Canada. Collected 1978. This paragenesis specimen features complex calcite prisms with black inclusions, set off by a sprinkling of sulfides and perhaps antimonides, some in crystals but mainly massive.
This specimen measures about 12.8 cm x 7 cm x 3 cm. The largest calcite crystals are about 1.4 cm long.
Calcite Paragenesis 2 # 093 – Price: $US 25.

Calcite

Mineral # 271 Available
Calcite on natrolite and tetranatrolite from the De Mix Quarry, Mont St. Hilaire, Quebec, Canada. This 5 mm crystal was self-collected in 1973, in the days when faced with an impossible crystal form at St. Hilaire, we used to say, 'it must be calcite' — well, this crystal that appears to be essentially an octahedron modified by a dodecahedron, has been verified by XRD. Minor biotite as an accessory.
This thumbnail specimen measures about 15 mm x 12 mm x 14 mm.
Calcite # 271 – Price: $US 20.
