Wonderful example of totally clear, colorless danburite in an unusual habit. The specimen is a mass of danburite crystals with several emerging prominently. The largest sticking out is about 1.7 cm while the largest lying across the mass is about 3 cm. From Charcas, San Luis Potsi, Mexico. Includes a loose 1.5 cm crystal that fell off the mass — the buyer can easily repair if desired. Collected before 1978.

This unusual Dioptase specimen is from Tsumeb, Namibia, (South-West Africa) and was collected before 1980. Each crystal face consists of fine parallel striations instead of the more usual glass-smooth faces. Depending upon the face, the striations are aligned parallel to a different crystal axis, likely indicative of unusual paragenesis. Accessories include calcite, possible volborthite and others.

This interesting specimen measures about 3.7 cm x 3.3 cm x 1.6 cm. The largest crystal is about 7 mm long.
